Private Videos
Private Videos allows you to import and safely store videos that can only be
seen and viewed with the correct password. Videos are encrypted for maximum security and
cannot be viewed by other users or apps.
Enter a password when you start Private Videos.
Any videos that have been imported using the password will be displayed. Videos that have
been imported using a different password are not displayed.
Select Import to import videos using the current password. The selected files are
encrypted and copied into Private Videos secure storage.
Select Change password to view videos that were imported using a different password or to
import videos using a different password.
Tap a video to play.
Long tap to select one or more videos.
- Select Export and the target folder to export unencrypted videos
- Select Delete to delete videos from Private Videos encrypted storage
Questions
Can I retrieve my password if I forget it?
No, passwords are not stored by the app and cannot be retrieved.
I have full-disk encryption, why do I need Private Videos
Once you have entered your Android password other apps such as file browsers can still find and
view files. Private Videos uses an additional layer of encryption to protect videos from
unauthorized viewing.
My phone is rooted, are my videos still safe?
Private Videos are encrypted and stored safely, they cannot be viewed without the password.
